Dr. Mark Pacana, DDS
Dr. Mark Pacana is proud to serve the community that he loves.
He received a bachelor of science degree in Biology and minor in Philosophy at Loyola University Chicago. Following his tenure as a Rambler, he received the title of a doctor of dental surgery and graduated from the the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry in 2000.
Shortly after, Dr. Pacana was invited to extend his training as an Oral Surgery Extern. After several years as a practicing associate, he moved to Algonquin, Illinois, and established his Pacana Family Dental in 2005.
Licensed dentists are required to meet a minimum number of continuing education courses each year, and Dr. Pacana takes great pride in being able to partake in several classes to help him become a more well-rounded dentist in order to enhance treatment. He is also a proud member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and McHenry County Dental Society.
Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Pacana enjoys spending time with his family. He has two sons that keep him busy out of office hours, as they both play competitive hockey. Dr. Pacana also enjoys golfing and fishing. When he is not working hard on your teeth, he is out working hard on the ice as part of a men’s league hockey team.
Kathy, Office Coordinator
For more than 35 years, Kathy has served patients in the dental field. Since 2005, she has supported Dr. Pacana in a variety of ways, shapes, and forms- most recently completing various responsibilities as his Office Coordinator. When she is not ensuring that all processes and schedules at the office are running smoothly, she enjoys spending time with her two sons and granddaughter.
Dawn, Dental Hygienist
Dawn began her dentistry career in 1991 as an orthodontic dental assistant in Eligin, IL. In 2006, she graduated from Harper College with a degree in dental hygeine. During her time at Harper College, she was a scholarship recipient and class treasurer. Dawn loves to help keep patient smiles looking their best. In her free time, Dawn enjoys playing with her two dogs, reading a good book, and vacationing at the ocean with her husband.
Linda, Dental Assistant
Linda has resided in and around Algonquin for over 27 years. She originally worked as a dental assistant prior to starting her family. She spent many years involved in the community, as her children participated in football, track and baseball. After holding positions in management, customer service and health care, she found her way back to the dental field. Linda first became part of Pacana Dental as a patient. The practice’s focus on patient care and relationship building sparked her interest in joining the practice as a dental assistant. Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
